A few years ago it was quite easy to make money this way, however, lately eBay has been increasingly competitive with sellers, making it difficult to track down items that are unique and cheap enough to make a decent profit from. If you use online wholesalers, you are at a competitive disadvantage among eBayer's, because many receive volume discounted pricing on merchandise that you would have to compete against.

Here is a way you can have a competitive advantage and make much higher profit margins then long time eBayers. There are millions of items that the government acquires through diverse means such as bankruptcies, unpaid taxes, repossessed items, unclaimed items or government surplus that they simply want to quickly get rid of. You can buy these items either online from government web sites or from live government auctions held locally across the US and Canada. Because the government has a zero cost basis for these items, they aren't concerned about selling at high prices like a wholesaler is, so you can purchase items for far less then what they are worth.

Purchasing products at government auctions means you are getting deeply discounted distinctive merchandise. These auctions have a broad range of products that are effective for selling on eBay including items such as jewelry, electronics, office equipment, etc. Many of the items are sold in bulk or larger quantities which allows for a quicker eBay set-up for the items. To provide an example, at a government auction I recently attended someone bought 11 ATM machines for $45 each which they sold for $467 each and another person bought 43 digital cameras for $600 which they auctioned off on eBay for a 700 percent profit.

So if you've never sold an item on eBay then I would recommend going to eBay and spending 15 minutes creating a free eBay account and entering a fabricated sale item (just follow eBay's prompts). This will help you to understand how to sell items on eBay and show you how painless it is.

Then visit the Government Auction Review Site below and check which government auction site is the right one for locating the best government auctions and items listed at each (both online and live auctions). Once you know the government auction site that will offer access to virtually unlimited items for you to resale, then join that site.

All you have to do now is explore government auction sale items online and/or visit a local live government auction. Then buy items amongst the many great deals and list them on eBay for a nice profit. Viola, eBay's entire audience has access to your products and can now bid on them.

Congratulations, you are on your way to what will definitely be a very lucrative Internet business.

To read reviews and ratings on the top government surplus auction sites check out Government Auctions

The Secret to Purchasing Seized Cars For Under $340

Not many people know that you can buy a vehicle for $339.95 simply by visiting a local government police auction.

Here's how it's done! At the majority of government and police auctions if a vehicle doesn't meet a predetermined opening bid during the auction, it will be put up for sale at the auction's conclusion for $300. This is because the government likes to eliminate any costs involved in storing vehicles after the auction.

The first time I noticed this, I was going through some of the car listings on the site mentioned below (last paragraph) and then I noticed something peculiar. Many of the cars were indiscreetly labeled 'If vehicle does not sell at this auction it can be purchased afterward for $300'.

In fact upon further research including calling a number of the auctions, using the number provided on the Government Auctions site, I was surprised to hear that due to the current recession, cars selling for $300 at these auctions has been increasing. This is because car dealerships cannot obtain credit or sell their current inventory resulting in many more cars available (in great condition) then people there to buy them.

The cost to gain access to these government car auctions with all of the vehicle listings and associated information is $39.95 (so car total is $339.95). It is worth it though, as you get listings of the less obvious auctions with detailed vehicle information for each auction. The membership also contains listings of items such as car parts, jewelry, furniture, home/garden equipment, electronics and even foreclosed homes, all offered for pennies on the dollar.

Once you choose the vehicles of interest from the government auction in your area, then attend that auction and low bid on each vehicle. Better still wait until the auction is over then pick up the unsold vehicle(s) you like for $300. I would recommend calling the auction prior to attending so you have an understanding on their policies regarding this.

You'll be surprised at what you can get for $300. I know, I've purchased 3 cars this way including a older model Beemer in great condition.

To locate these $300 car listings and access a free ebook of how to purchase a used car visit Police Auctions or to locate other government auction products such as foreclosures visit Government Auctions.

Tax Lien versus Tax Deeds and How to Purchase a House for Under $2K

Have you ever considered what the penalty is when a property owner is unable to pay their taxes? Well as you may of guessed the IRS is intolerant and will do whatever is required to retrieve the taxes due, including forcing the buyer to foreclose on their home. On the outside this may seem like a very unpleasant situation, however, there are other sources of alternative financing available to assist this owner. That's where individuals like yourself can profit while providing a possible 'light at the end of the tunnel' for the distraught home owner.

A public property tax sale, also known as 'property tax liens', are auctions organized by local government councils in an effort to dispose of tax debt. What occurs is that the public bids on the debt owed by the property owner. For argument sake say you are the winning bidder. That means you are paying off the tax debt on behalf of the property owner by buying a tax lien certificate which establishes you as the new lender to the property owner. The property owner has to pay you back with interest before the expiration of the redemption period as predefined by the government. This redemption period can be any time between 6 months to 4 years.

The homeowner must then pay the winner back all their money plus interest by a specific date. The date will be determined and agreed upon by both parties. The lender is allowed to raise the interest anytime the homeowner fails to make a payment. If the homeowner continues to fail on the payments, the winning bidder will then be permitted to take over the home and the title. Either by profiting on the interest or by receiving the title to the home, the lender wins both ways.

Obviously, a savvy business person would like the homeowner to be unable to pay back the loan or default on the loan terms, so that they can receive title on the property themselves. It's in the homeowner's best interest to pay their dues on the home and home tax loan, but if their financial situation was bad in the first place, there's is a chance it may not improve anytime soon in this economy. In many cases, all odds are against the homeowner.

In addition to tax lien sales, there are also tax deed sales. Tax deed sales are when the government auctions off the property and title right away, giving the winning bidder immediate ownership. The current homeowners must surrender their home and/or property immediately. They have no choice otherwise. Tax lien sales will give them a chance to maintain their home, tax deed sales will not.

These government auction tax sale opportunities may be the best investments one can make because you actually have a house and/or property that either you own or have as collateral should your lien interest payments not be made. Just reflect on the amount of money you can make by purchasing a tax lien and charging high interest rates, or paying the defaulted taxes, receiving the house and either renting it for a monthly income or reselling it for a healthy profit.

To find sites with the best property tax sale opportunities and receive a free Government Tax Sale Properties Report check out property tax sales Then we looked in each category to check:

Are there MANY LISTINGS or just a few?

Did they provide links to National, State, AND LOCAL sources?

Did they provide links to ONLINE AUCTIONS as well as in-person auctions?

Are the listings & links CURRENT, or old?

Are they updated FREQUENTLY?

Were DIRECT CONTACT NAMES & NUMBERS PROVIDED where appropriate?

Did the sites CHARGE YOU ONLY ONCE, or automatically renew and charge you?

Was there additional VALUE ADDED CONTENT?

We know every scam and trick in the book, because the head of our team was the Business Development Manager for one of the largest Auction Listing sites on the Web. (he no longer works there, and we don't "favor" anyone). While working there, however, he also saw many folks make small (and not so small!) fortunes with Real Estate, and save tens of thousands on cars, trucks, trailers, and the like. If thats what you're after, its still out there.

Thats what this site is for: We have combed through almost every one of the sites to find out which ones give you the best listings, best information, and WONT RIP YOU OFF!

Online Marketing and Auctions

One of the best opportunities to take advantage of auctions is through online marketing. However, these are areas that require some expertise in order to keep from losing your shirt!

Affiliate marketing and internet marketing go hand-in-hand with online auctions.

Perhaps the best way then to take advantage of these is through "search engine marketing", or SEM. You can advertise government auction listings, but perhaps more significantly, the auctions can be great sources for products to market through SEM, and in particular PPC or Pay Per Click.

Before pursing online marketing, you must make an effor to "learn the ropes". Just as there are excellent resources for auctions and auction sites, so too there are plenty of online resources that will help you do a better job taking advantage of auctions.

Improve Your Internet Marketing is one of those premier sites for learning everything you need to know about online marketing.

From that site, you'll find links to other online resources, virtually all of them free.

You can also search Google on the topics of auctions, government auctions, and online auction marketing. How about a house? Or perhaps jewelery? Does it sound too good to be true? Well, this time, it is true! Government auctions provide excellent deals and savings on vehicles, electronics, homes, jewellery, and other expensive items that are obtained through foreclosures, repossessions, and seizures.

Imagine how nice it would be to purchase a decent car for as low as $100! Their main sources are government and police auctions because they can bid on the vehicles their customers are requesting at extremely low prices. Of course they will resell the vehicles to them at a larger profit then one would expect.

What many people don't realize is that they can attend police auctions as well to get the same low prices on seized cars as the dealerships do! Why go to a middle man if you can get the same type of deals they do?

No matter what vehicle you wish to own, sports car, pick up truck, motorcycle, SUV, or jeep, you will find a good deal at a police auction. Most of these cars have been repossessed early on so they are in like new condition.

The police seize thousands of vehicles every month all across the country and are in a hurry to get rid of them. Unlike a car dealership the government has paid nothing to obtain the car and their only real cost is keeping inventory. So the result is you have a motivated seller who has basically paid nothing for his items and wants to unload to avoid costs. The bottom line is the government wants to sell fast regardless of the bidding price to avoid inventory burden and associated costs.

Consider bringing a mechanic or other vehicle enthusiast to inspect the vehicles that you may bid on at the auction. Don't forget to get there well ahead of time in order to have an opportunity to view over the vehicles that are of interest.

There are qualified government and police auctions sites that will inform you of where auctions are going to be held and what they will be offering. So how do you sort out the qualified government auction sites from the bad? A government and police auction review site is the best resource to find this out.

By reading government auction reviews, you will source the most appropriate and legitimate police auction sites. It will help to guide you to the top government or police auction sites values and make sure you avoid any scams. You will receive a better deal than 99% of the rest of the population if you follow this means in finding your next vehicle.

To find the top government auctions & stay clear of being mislead check out government auction reviews, or more specifically check out Police Auctions, Seized Vehicles and Boats

Seized Property and Surplus Property are Treasure Troves of Bargains!

Many government auctions and police auctions consist mainly of seized property and surplus merchandise that come from many sources. What is seized property? This if property seized under state or federal “seizure laws”. Property used during a crime, or payed for by profits from crime, can be seized and auctioned off.
The scope and quantity of seized and surplus property offered for auction is staggering. You can buy jewelery, collectibles, art, houses, planes, cheap used cars… the list goes on and on. Still, it's good to see the reviews updated, as they remain much more useful and credible.

Bank Foreclosures & Preforeclosures
Foreclosure properties offer a way to acquire their homes at incredible prices, sometimes saving as much as 30% to 90% on the price of their home. For first-time buyers or those looking to profit from buying real estate and reselling it at a profit, foreclosures and preforeclosures can be purchased for a fraction of their market value. Before the Internet explosion, finding foreclosure homes meant buying expensive lists or knowing someone with inside information. Websites like those listed below maintain databases of thousands of foreclosure and preforeclosure homes and allow home buyers to search by state and zip code, zeroing in on their target area. This provides potential home buyers with details about the house or property, what the price of the house is, who to contact, and sometimes the address and a photo. Pre-foreclosures are homes or property that are about to go into foreclosure. This is where some of the best deals can be had, before they are seen by every real estate broker and buyer on the planet. These are generally negotiated directly with the owner, who is eager to avoid the hassles of foreclosure. [....read more....]

Police Auctions - Cars For $100?By Michael Ullman

We've all heard the claims of cars selling for $100 at police auctions, but what's behind the claims? Did you ever wonder where the seized property and vehicles sold in a police auction or government auction comes from?
Almost every state has what are called “seizure laws”. These laws allow law enforcement agencies to seize property that was used in the commission of a crime or was bought with money that was gained by the commission of a crime. This means that if a drug dealer is arrested, law enforcement can logically conclude that their assets were purchased with illegal drug money. That allows the police to seize cars, trucks, boats, homes, and even jewelry and clothing. This includes property given to family members and friends. If the purchase of the merchandise can be traced back to the offender, it can be seized. If the person is convicted, all of this property will eventually end up in a police auction. The seizure law is a helpful tool for law enforcement agencies, especially against organized crime and drug dealers. ....[read more...]

Government Auctions - A Specific Type You Need To Know AboutBy Michael Ullman

If you want to use government auctions to get a great deal on a vehicle, then there is a specific type of auction you need to know about. In this article, I will discuss with you this type of auction and also give you some basic strategy strategy on how you can use it to get the best deal on your next week will purchase. After reading this article, your eyes will be opened to a whole new market for vehicles that you probably never knew existed.
The government has to get rid of a certain amount of surplus items in their inventory every year. It's the law. In this inventory are used vehicles of all different kinds. Under the United States General Service Administration Supply Service, the government has an agreement with different manufacturers to auction off their vehicles when the contract ends.
To find out about these vehicles, you will have to visit the official government service administration website. There you'll find a list showing the different make and model, year, and engine displacement of each government vehicle that will be auctioned. As long as you're over 18 and have a valid drivers license, and don't work for the government, you'll be able to bid on these vehicles..... Specifically in this article I will give you a brief overview about how cars become repossessed and are offered for literally pennies on the dollar. Also, I will discuss with you the best strategies to use at these auctions to make sure you get the best deal. After reading this article, you should be able to go out and locate repossessed car auctions and walk away a winner.
The great thing about repossessed cars is that they are sold notfor a profit motive, but as a recovery motive. The longer these cars sit on government property, the more it cost the government in storage space. This means they're willing to get rid of the car at lower than market value.
A repossessed car has nothing to do with whether it runs well or not. Cars are repossessed because they're not paid for on time, because the owner didn't pay their income taxes or the cars were seized from owners who were engaged in illegal activity. Having a surplus of repossessed cars from these causes means the government wants to get rid of them fast. That's where you come in.

First, you must be aware of when these actions take place. You can either follow your newspaper and look for the notifications in your area, or get on the Internet and gain access to websites that list upcoming repossessed car auctions.

When you buy a car at a repossessed car auction, you're buying it as is. This means that you need to do the proper research to make sure you're not buying a clunker. You should be able to recognize within a certain degree of reasonability whether a car runs well or not. If you can't do this, you'd be well advised to take along an expert with you who can before you make any major purchase.

In conclusion, you can get real deals from repossessed car auctionsbecause the government wants to get rid of the cars quickly, and because most people don't know they can purchase cars this way. This means you get little competition. Just make sure the car you're purchasing can run well, and you'll be getting great deals on your next vehicle purchases.

Government auction Site Reviews offers unbiased reviews of the leading goverment auction sites. Specifically in this article I will give you some of the best tips for beginners when it comes to using Government auctions to get vehicles at a real bargain. After reading this article, you will have all the basics you need to know in order to approach government auctions intelligently. The first thing you need know is that all cars sold a government auctions are "as is". What might seem like a deal could end up costing you money if it has a mechanical failure or major flaw. In order to avoid this, you must learn how to recognize if a car is good or not through careful inspection. It's not like going to a car lot, where you can take the car for a test drive. You cannot test drive cars at Government auctions. The closest you can get is to listen to the engine. That's why you need to learn how to appraise a car by inspecting it, or getting an expert to go along with you to inspect it for you. [more...]

Government auctions and police auctions provide unique business opportunities to the witty businessman.
[more...]

Government auctions and police auctions provide unique business opportunities to the witty businessman.
[more...]

Are you looking to make money or save money buying from Government Surplus Auctions, Buy Seized Cars or Unclaimed Property, Reposessed vehicles, boats, and RV's, or find huge savings, on Electronics, Jewlery, and Furniture from Government Tax Sales, but want to AVOID SCAMS!

That's where you come in.First, you must be aware of when these auctions take place.

Auction Sites Reviewed
(Note: If you're in a hurry like I usually am, and just want the results, here are THE GOOD SITES THAT SCORED BEST - Government Surplus & Real Estate 1st Choice: governmentauctions.org; runner-up: foreclosurepass.com - Cars & Trucks, 1st choice: car-auction.com runner-up: auctionpass.com)You're here because you know you can make money or save money buying Government Surplus, Foreclosed Property, Seized or Repo'd Vehicles through Government of Private Auctions. The good news is, you can! You can make (or save) a ton of money buying FEMA trailers, property, cars, trucks, electronics, jewelry, etc. this way. And there are Websites now that will show you EXACTLY how to buy GSA surplus, foreclosures, cars, etc. at up to 90% off - yes, up to 90% off!Now the bad news: there are even more Websites that will simply take your money and not do a darn thing for you. So, how do you know where to go?Thats what this page is for: I know every scam and trick in the book, because I was the Business Development Manager for one of the largest Auction Listing sites on the Web. (I don't work there anymore, so I'm not 'favoring' anyone). While working there, however, I also saw many folks make small (and large!) fortunes with Real Estate, and save tens of thousands on cars, trucks, trailers, and the like. If thats what you're after, its still out there. What I've done is combed through every one of the sites, knowing what I know from working in the business, and tell you which ones give you the best listings, best information, and WONT RIP YOU OFF!Ok, lets get started:GOVERNMENT SURPLUS, FORECLOSURES & REAL ESTATEThere are literally thousands of homes, trailers, and land being foreclosed and auctioned everyday by banks, the Federal Government Agencies, as well as State and Local municipalities. Whats important here? My hands-down recommendation here GovernmentAuctions.org, and here's why:Legitimacy - just look at their home page; they've been featured on CNBC, CBS News, Barrons, and others. I think they even have a video posted of their CNBC feature.Listings - here's where they shine. I counted over 2000 agencies and 75,000+ foreclosure listings, FEMA, GSA, etc. Afterall, you're trying to make or save money, you want the largest number of choices. These guys have it.Pre-foreclosures - this is neat; they have pre-foreclosure listings! This is where you can really score, before the foreclosures are listed by every real estate agent on the planet.Contact info - again, these guys get it right. Almost every listing has direct contact info: name address, phone number, etc.Best choice in foreclosures, real estate, and homes:GovernmentAuctions.org Runner-up: ForeclosurePass.comCars, Trucks, RV's, etc.Every month across the United States, thousands of cars are seized by different Government agencies (IRS, DEA, FBI) & Police departments and auctioned off to the public. These vehicles are typically listed at up to 90% off their original value and auctions usually start at $100. My top pick is Car-Auction.com which also has Gov't pre-owned vehicles that are well maintained & usually 2-3 yrs old.And again, there are SO MANY sites, many of which are SCAMS! Once again, I must point out the most important factor:Legitimacy: These guys have been around a LONG time. And, they actually employ Customer Service people - that tells you more than any 'advertisement' possibly could!Listings: Thousands and thousands of vehicles, and importantly, they seem to have huge numbers in every state. Plus, the necessary pictures and info.Best choice in seized & repo'd cars and trucks:Car-Auctions.org Runner-up: AuctionPass.comA final word: I recently found an INCREDIBLE RESOURCE online: FreeIQ. It's free, has TONS of info on making money, marketing, saving money, etc. with videos, training, books, etc. all FREE.

In conclusion, you can get real deals from repossessed car auctionsbecause the government wants to get rid of the cars quickly, and because most people don't know they can purchase cars this way. href="http://tgltd.govauction.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=bFEMA">governmentauctions.org; runner-up: foreclosurepass.com - Cars & Trucks, 1st choice: car-auction.com runner-up: auctionpass.com)

You're here because you know you can make money or save money buying Government Surplus, Foreclosed Property, Seized or Repo'd Vehicles through Government of Private Auctions.

The good news is, you can! You can make (or save) a ton of money buying FEMA trailers, property, cars, trucks, electronics, jewelry, etc. this way. And there are Websites now that will show you EXACTLY how to buy GSA surplus, foreclosures, cars, etc. at up to 90% off - yes, up to 90% off!

Now the bad news: there are even more Websites that will simply take your money and not do a darn thing for you. So, how do you know where to go?

Thats what this page is for: I know every scam and trick in the book, because I was the Business Development Manager for one of the largest Auction Listing sites on the Web. (I don't work there anymore, so I'm not 'favoring' anyone). While working there, however, I also saw many folks make small (and large!) fortunes with Real Estate, and save tens of thousands on cars, trucks, trailers, and the like. If thats what you're after, its still out there.

What I've done is combed through every one of the sites, knowing what I know from working in the business, and tell you which ones give you the best listings, best information, and WONT RIP YOU OFF!

Ok, lets get started:

GOVERNMENT SURPLUS, FORECLOSURES & REAL ESTATE

There are literally thousands of homes, trailers, and land being foreclosed and auctioned everyday by banks, the Federal Government Agencies, as well as State and Local municipalities. Whats important here? My hands-down recommendation here GovernmentAuctions.org, and here's why:

Legitimacy - just look at their home page; they've been featured on CNBC, CBS News, Barrons, and others. I think they even have a video posted of their CNBC feature.

Listings - here's where they shine. I counted over 2000 agencies and 75,000+ foreclosure listings, FEMA, GSA, etc. Afterall, you're trying to make or save money, you want the largest number of choices. These guys have it.

Pre-foreclosures - this is neat; they have pre-foreclosure listings! This is where you can really score, before the foreclosures are listed by every real estate agent on the planet.

Contact info - again, these guys get it right. Almost every listing has direct contact info: name address, phone number, etc.

Best choice in foreclosures, real estate, and homes:
GovernmentAuctions.org Runner-up: ForeclosurePass.com

Cars, Trucks, RV's, etc.

Every month across the United States, thousands of cars are seized by different Government agencies (IRS, DEA, FBI) & Police departments and auctioned off to the public. These vehicles are typically listed at up to 90% off their original value and auctions usually start at $100. My top pick is Car-Auction.com which also has Gov't pre-owned vehicles that are well maintained & usually 2-3 yrs old.

And again, there are SO MANY sites, many of which are SCAMS! Once again, I must point out the most important factor:

Legitimacy: These guys have been around a LONG time. And, they actually employ Customer Service people - that tells you more than any 'advertisement' possibly could!

Listings: Thousands and thousands of vehicles, and importantly, they seem to have huge numbers in every state. Plus, the necessary pictures and info.

Best choice in seized & repo'd cars and trucks:
Car-Auctions.org Runner-up: AuctionPass.com

A final word: I recently found an INCREDIBLE RESOURCE online: FreeIQ.
